Diplomacy of Space: The Interiors of Estonian Foreign Missions at the Estonian Museum of Architecture (curated by Karin Paulus in cooperation with the Estonian Association of Interior Architects)

This event explored the messages conveyed by the interiors of Estonia’s various diplomatic missions throughout history and today. These missions range from Helsinki and Vilnius to Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Beijing. Alongside acknowledging the ingenuity of our diplomats, a country also establishes itself abroad through space - embassies, residences and other foreign missions. Considering the fact that an embassy is a part of Estonia, it is logical that the interior design reflects this. Therefore, we were very delighted that B210 Architects involved us in the Estonian embassy project in Singapore to emphasise Estonia’s deep relationship with nature and innovation. As part of the exhibition, a publication titled “Diplomacy of Space” was presented in cooperation with the Estonian foreign ministry. With this project we were able to present our Singapore Blox and on the picture you can see Alar Karis, the president of Estonia, admiring it.
