Myceen is one of the few companies in the world developing carbon-negative building materials by combining post-industrial organic byproducts with mushroom mycelium. Our products have gained international recognition, and now demand is outpacing our production capacity. We're looking for the person to change that.

Head of Engineering

You will lead the development of a novel automated production line for mycelium building materials, from prototyping through to industrial scale. You'll work with our in-house team of engineers and material scientists, external engineering partners, and university collaborators.

There’s no off-the-shelf solution for what we're building. The right person has developed industrial technology from the ground up.

What we look for

• 10+ years of industrial technology development experience
• Background in mechanics, mechatronics and/or automation
• Strong CAD and physical prototyping skills
• Comfortable leading a team and getting hands-on when needed
• Strong communication skills
• Education in Industrial Engineering or a related field

Previous experience with mycelium materials is not required. We care more about your track record in building industrial technology from scratch.
